TEN is the oldest European coalition on sustainable tourism. It was founded in 1983 to support the work of the Ecumenical Coalition on Third World Tourism. Leading european NGOs in tourism as Tourism Concern, Studienkreis fuer Tourismus, Arbeitskreis Tourismus und Entwicklung , Retour and Tourism Watch, have been contributing to the Network from the beginning. This group of experts meets every year to evaluate new developments in sustainable tourism, to share concerns and to plan common actions.
